Mount Ni is, according to mythology, the place where Confucius was born and forsaken for a period by his mother, to be taken care of by a tiger and an eagle. This is the tallest statue in Southeast Asia. With a 33 m (108 ft) feet base total monument height of 106 m (348 ft). Total height is 108 m (354 ft) including the pedestal/building. Though billed as "The Biggest Sitting Image of Buddha In The World", it is not as tall as the statue Great Buddha of Thailand.
